About Us
Cheglinch Farm Glamping is run by Ella, with a little help from husband Simon and our 3 young children. The glamping site is situated in a sheltered field on the family dairy farm. Cheglinch Farm has been farmed by Simon’s family for 9 generations and Simon now runs the farm with his parents and his brother. Ella is a qualified Veterinary Surgeon and works part time for a local practice.
A couple of years ago we received some marketing information about setting up a farm stay glamping business. The leaflet was initially dismissed and put in the pile for recycling but, somehow, it found its way to the top of the pile and our interest was triggered. We researched the subject but just couldn’t find a type of tent or glamping pod that we really liked. The idea was put to one side but we still wanted to share our little piece of picturesque North Devon with others so instead we set up a pop up, wild camping site: Cheglinch Camping. Then, in May 2017, we stumbled across the beautiful Lotus Belle tent whilst on a family day out to the Devon County Show. We immediately fell in love with it and the rest, as they say, is history!
